Hot swap

Hi all.
I have a "hot swap" bay for a removable HDD, every time I change the HDD
windows losts the disk and I have to rebbot the system.
Is it possible to avoid this ? and how .....

Open "My Computer".

Is the removable drive listed in the "hard disk drives" section or the
"removable" section? You may need to reconfigure it in Device Manager
or install software from the manufacturer of the removable drive bay.

Also if this is your only hard drive or if it is the boot drive then
you cannot hot swap it with Windows running. Period.

According to my hot swap drive instructions, "only hot swappable with Win
98".
I would also like to know with XP is there a fix.
