The Knowledge Base article says:
"Microsoft has released a hotfix for Microsoft Office 2003. This hotfix
fixes a problem that occurs in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003, in
Microsoft Office Word 2003, and in Microsoft Office Excel 2003. When you
open a file that was last edited in a Microsoft Office 2000 program, drawing
shapes disappear and are permanently lost when you save the document in
PowerPoint 2003, in Word 2003, or in Excel 2003."
We have been told that this is the fix for presentations created in
PowerPoint 2000 which won't open in PowerPoint 2003. I have tested the fix
and it resolves the problem, so if you have encountered this problem, I
recommend that you go to

article carefully.
