Hot Fix 830051 - disk caching turned off

The issue I have is Windows is turning off disk caching for my system disk. I
have an additional SATA array installed. The hot fix 830051 will solve my
problem, but I have to contact support to get it - and it will cost me
$99.00. I do not understand this.

How can I get this fix without giving out my credit card information?

Call Microsoft support. In North America, they will take your credit card
but the engineer will NOT charge it when you tell him/her that you want
the fix from that KB article.
