"hot bar", tool bar that won't go away.

i opened an e-mail the other day and all of the sudden this "hot bar" tool bar appeared and i cannot get rid of it. its on my e-mail window and internet explorer window
any one have a clue?
 
Go into your add/remove programs options and see if it is
listed in the installed programs. You should be able to
get rid of it. Please uninstall it. Hotbar is spyware.
It tracks your browsing on the internet.

SpyBot Search & Destroy or Lavasoft's Ad-aware to remove this

You have yourself some 'spyware' there. Software that hijacks your pc
and installs stuff without permission.

You should download two programs, which should clean this up for you

One is adaware, which you can get from www.lavasoftusa.com. The second
one is Spyware S&D, which can be downloaded from
http://www.safer-networking.org/

The programs are free, but as with virus checkers, they need to be
updated regularly.
