Hosts won't resolve

Hi there

We've got a user whose Win2K system doesn't resolve to
entries in his computer's Hosts file ... haven't seen any
kb about his issue and was just wondering if anybody has
any ideas on what might be going on.

Run netdiag on it to check for it's general network health looking for any
pertinent failed tests, make sure the hosts file has no extension, and also
run a trojan/virusscan on it as many have been targeting the host name
resolution processes of a computer. -- Steve
