hello folks,

I have a Win 2k Server SP4 Machine and RRAS. That machine connects
to the internet, NAT enabled and static routes set to the demand dial
connection and to the local area network connection.( 2NICs)

On the server machine I can browse to every host there is. On the client
machines however I can browse in IE6, only to hosts that have ICMP enabled
(means they are pingable). Host that have ICMP traffic suppressed I can not
browse to, although this is possible on the server.

How can I make those hosts on the client machines accessible? Or what
settings could have been done on the server earlier that could keep the
server from doing it.

Any Idea welcome

thank you

Anton

How are you blocking ICMP traffic? What method? Are you
blocking any broadcasts? Do you have a WINS server? Do
you know what type of host name resolution you use.

well I don't block anything that's the interesting thing and reinstalling of
RRAS didn't help at all.
I do not use WINS. What do you mean by what type of hostname resolution I
use? Well DNS is running and working properly.

Thanks

Anton
