This is probably not the correct area to post this but...
I'm wondering will there be an addition to MSAS in an
upcoming beta that will add to the HOSTS file a list of
know spyware ip address so they will be blocked?
Something that would allow you to edit and add ip's and
download new ones when auto-updating?

Thanks, Frank

Just the reverse, you need names to be forwarded to a null destination
(usually the loopback but you can imagine anything else).
It's a topic which has been dicussed here, some think this is a good
practice, other want to have a host file as small as possible (only 1 line
describing loopback).

Microsoft Antispyware already examines the hosts file, and will call out
items in that file which it believes are spyware-related.

The hosts file is two-edged. Both Viruses and antispyware tools use it for
competing purposes. This is one reason I prefer to keep its content
minimal.

There is a System Explorer which shows you the hosts file entries--but I
don't believe it allows for adding new ones.
