hosting server???

Ok here is my question. I want to host some friends
websites from home. Can somebody tell me the steps that I
need to go thru to set this up. or maybe a website that
could help me

For IIS on Win2000+ server, just create the new "Sites" (for each web site)
and store their content in the directories each site (respectively)
references.

Of course, you will DNS to point to this server for each site -- and if you
only
have one IP address you will use "Host Request Headers" to differentiate in
the
previous step for creating the sites and mapping each to a content
directory.

Finally, do you even have a FIXED IP address "from home"? You will need
that
to map in the DNS settings of each Host name OR you will need an Internet
Dynamic DNS service; I use dynDNS.org (.ORG), it's reliable and free for
basic
service.
