Norton will have identified the trojans by name. Look up those names at the
Symantec website. There you will find removal directions for the specific
trojans on your system. Even after an antivirus program cleans up what it
can, there are usually additional steps that must be performed manually by
you to complete the cleanup.

General rule of thumb: Restart to Safe Mode. In most cases this stops the
trojans loading and Norton's will then have a better chance at removing
them.

Greetings --

Because many of the newer viruses and worms can disable antivirus
applications whose definitions aren't kept up-to-date, try using one
or more of the free on-line scanners to double-check your system.

Trend Micro - Free online virus Scan

McAfee Security - FreeScan

Symantec Security Check

Panda ActiveScan - Free online scanner

If norton cannot get it try going to one of the online scanners. The one
that seems to get rid of most for me is www.housecall.trendmicro, the best
search engine to find the site is google. It should be the 1st or 2nd
selection from the top. The scan if free. If this does not do it, post back
I have a couple more that are a little more aggressive. Be careful with
adware removers as sometimes they remove what you do not want taken out.
Good luck!

WTF is an "it boffin"??

The said:
An English slang term for IT techie or expert. Learn the English language
Plethora or at least buy a dictionary. {]:~)

Please be assured that I have forgotten more about the English language
in *all* of it forms than you ever knew, and you prove it in almost
every post. I think it would have made more sense if the first idiot had
said "IT boffin," or more properly, "I.T. boffin." Silly me, I read
"it" as "it."
