I changed a theme to FP "Blank" in FP2002 the horiz link
bar is light gray as I want. In a browser the link bar
buttons are black as is the text (No text with black
buttons).
Source code in IE 6.0 shows the .gif in the Derived folder
as "blank110gbtn.gif" which is a black button not gray.
The gray button is "BLGLB.gif.
What goes?? Another post has this problem and MS said it
was NVIDIA driver. Why different in FP and IE6?

By the way, I can only find "Derived" folder in IE and not
FP 2002, what and how does "Derived" folder appear or
create?

Michael

When you use a theme, the text that appears on the button images are in the
_derived folder which is a hidden. To see in FP, go to Tools | Web Settings
| Advanced, and enable viewing of hidden directories.

You need to roll back you video driver to the prior version, then re-apply
your theme.

If you are using NVIDIA Video card this has been reported to be caused by using a graphics driver higher than 30.82 (downloaded from
Windows Update which offers 40.85?)

Other users have reported the rolling back to a specific WHQL certified NVIDIA driver clears the problem.
Download the older drivers, then UNinstall your version through add/remove programs first before installing the new drivers.
The W9x OS drivers are at:
http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=win9x_archive
or for the XP or 2K OS are at:
http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=winxp-2k_archive"
In both cases users report rolling back to version 30.82 works to solve the problem

Quoted from another User
"I have all versions of the NVIDIA drivers and have found that all versions after 30.82 will cause this problem (even if they are
WHQL). I did a systematic retro-install of each previous version of the drivers until I got to version 30.82 which fixed the
problem."
