I used SPYBOT to find spyware on my home machine. It
found lots & lots. Although I reviewed the finds before
deleting, I no pro and apparently didn't recognize I was
deleting something integral to IE. Now I have no browser
with which to get a fresh download of IE.

I think I need to find a FULL copy of IE online somewhere
that I could download at another machine and write off on
a CD. This would let me put a clean new load back on my
home machine offline. I've snooped around on the MS site
(while at work) and all the "downloads" I could find are
just a few hundred K ... designed to download the rest of
IE online. How will this work if I can't even get online
anymore at the target machine? Suggestions?

Even though you deleted a part of IE your internet
connection should still exist. Download the IE setup file
on a different machine and try running the setup program
on the damaged machine. It should download. Or go into
Add/Remove Applications through the Control Panel and try
repairing the installation. What I would do is try
finding IE on a cd like your hardware install cds or even
programs like quickbooks comes with IE 6.0 on the cd.
Good luck!
