That's not a terrible price for an ATI-brand board. And with the XTs it
seems to matter--apparently the Sapphires don't have Overdrive enabled--if
you don't care about that you can get Sapphire boards for around $150 or
so.

9600XT.. ofcourse!

Great fast card, runs the games of today smoothly at maximum detail at
resolutions up to 1600x1200

I wished I had one ( though I keep with my 9500 Pro )

9600XT are nice cards, no problems with mine. I havn't tried to OC
yet.

From what I hear the 9500 pro isn't sluggish either.

Apologies to ATI fans, but this is a full FX 5900 card for $155.
There are faster ATI cards, but they cost way more...

And I just paid about that much for an ATI 9600 Pro. (which is very
nice, but nowhere near an FX 5900...)

Now that is the fine trick, the 9600 Pro/XT might be a higher chip
revision and faster clocked, but only has 4 pixel pipelines.

The Ati 9500 Pro is an "oldy" with 8 pixel pipelines. So if you put
both against eachother the 9500 Pro stacks rigth up, like a nice V8
race car out of 1980 versus a V4 turbo diesel out of 2002. You know
what I mean!

Both will run fine!

So my card might have an older chip revision... boy...it runs just as
fine!

If you can wait a month or so you'll probably find a 9800PRO for that price; they can be found
for $240.00 already.
