HomePNA problem

I currently have a phoneline network setup between 2 PC's.
#1 - Dell Dimension PIII with a 3Com USB adapter.
#2 - NEC PIII with a 2Wire PC Port USB adapter.
Both PC's are running Win XP Pro. #1 has a broadband
connection to the internet and shares thatconnection with
#2. All of that works great! Now...

I recently purchased a Dell Optiplex PIII and tried to
set it up to be networked with the others. I have 1
additional adapter of each kind above. The Optiplex
allows me to set up and connect the adapter, however when
I plug in the phoneline to get on the network, this PC
reboots.

I am literally pulling my hair out and raving constantly.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance !
Bart

I have yet to see an answer to a HomePNA post. It can't be too popular. Is
that a correct assumption.

I recently setup a HomePNA system, the two station starter system from Linksys, on a small two PC
network for one of my sister-in-laws and her roommate. It works very well. In their case, however,
the desktops run Windows Me and 98 SE respectively. No problems as the original poster described.
Windows ME ICS allows the roommate to access their cable ISP, etc, etc...etc...

Personally, I would look at drivers causing the problem, but I really don't know. Perhaps
uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers may help. Its also possible its a bad interface card. Try
swapping between PCs to see if the problem follows the card.
