Protects your start/home page. Prevents malicious websites from changing
your start/home page without your permission. Easy to use menu system.
Stays resident in the background, checking to make sure nothing changes
your start/home page. A really great utility program to stop homepage
hijackers.

Refuses to install when you refuse to let a third party toolbar be
installed.
Thumbs down on this one.

Just use Firefox instead -- it's immune to such attacks, amongst other
things.

Ok people, I just happen to have been hit. Tried everything I know with
no luck. I get my home page back but it gets replaced anyway. Any
program or help to get rid of this hi-jacker will be greatly appreciated

Try CWShredder:

Note: This is the last version made bij Merijn, the original author.
The program has been sold to Intermute, which developed it further. The new
versions had some reports of false positives. I would suggest you try the
'old' version first. I got rid of a toolbar on my neighbours pc with the
last Merijn-version last week.
The newer version is here:

SpywareGuard has browser protection:

I also found Free History Eraser, which might help (not tried):

The payware program on the same page might be worth downloading for the free
trial period.

The IE Restrictions program might also help (again, not tried):
