homepage and favorites

I have set my homepage to msn.com, but everytime i log off. and log back on, the homepage is set to some other search engine thing else with pornography amongst other things. Also in my favorites, there are pornography sites saved in my favorites. I delete and empty trash, I also went several times to change me homepage back to MSN and to no avail. I really need to know what to do.

have you gotten a reply from anyone???????? I am having the same problem and am unable to fix it

Looks like you have a homepage hijacker and possibly assorted baddies on
your system.
The " only " advice I would give , and the best I know, is to go to the
people who deal with these problems day in and day out. They are very
professional and very good at getting rid of the baddies.

Go there and have a look around and read the instructions about what to do "
before posting " . Be patient and they will do everything possible to help

Sounds like you have a Homepage Hijacker trojan/virus.
Do you have and use a current AntiVirus software on your computer?
If not, get one. Can't afford one? Try downloading one of the free
ones available on the net.
You can also do a free online scan at:

You can also download "The Cleaner" and use it free for the trial
period. Get it at:

You might have the "CoolWebSearch hijacker" on your machine.
Download and use CWShredder at:
www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/cwshredder.zip

Or start an entire review of your system to check for these kinds of
nasties:

Have your computer scanned at one of the following free online Virus
Scanners ,

Also , download and run one of the Anti-Trojan applications found here

If you happen to have Kazaa , Remove it in Add/Remove Programs in the
control panel , then reboot your computer
Follow-up with KazaaBegonev1.01

Unzip KazaaBegone to a temp Folder , Close all browser windows and run
KazaaBegone , Again reboot your computer

If you're not running Kazaa skip the 2 Kazaa steps and continue with
the following ,

Download CWShredder , Unzip to the Desktop

Close all browser windows , check the Taskbar for minimized windows as
well , Run CWShredder. Reboot again


Next , download and install Spybot search & destroy
www.security.kolla.de Open Spybot search & destroy , Click Online ,
Search for updates , Download all available updates , log offline ,
Close all browser windows , check your taskbar for minimized windows
as well , Run Spybot search & destroy , put a check in every entry
Spybot search & destroy returns , Click fix problems. Shutdown &
Reboot your computer

Consider installing SpywareBlaster v2.6.1 and SpywareGuard v2.2 for
the prevention of both Spyware Active X installation and running , and
Browser Hijacking protection in real-time

Lastly, go to Google and search for "HijackThis". Consder downloading
