Has anybody in here built their own plexiglass computer case? If so, was
it expensive? I'd like to build my own, but don't want to spend a ton on
it. I just think it would be cool to build a case to my own specifications
for when I finally upgrade my PC.

If you start from scratch the result will be technically inferior.
Instead do radical modifications to a good off-the-shelf case. Unless
you have a lot of heavy metalworking equipment and experience ...
