I am having difficulty conneting a computer with xp Home
to a computer with xp Pro. They don't read that each
other are there. We have tried reboot and also the router
that we are using worked just fine with connecting to a
laptop with xp pro.
 
Sounds like you are running the XP firewall, you would have to disable it to
share files between the machines.
 
i have had this problem for months now and no one could
help me ...... simple solution as i found out by trail
and error... just go to device manager on the machine
which isnt hooking up and uninstall the ethernet card and
start again..that simple
