In my WINXP (SP2) CONTROL PANEL - ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS, there are two
"programs": 1) Home Search Assistant and 2) Shopping Wizard.
When I attempt to remove these programs, they take me to a "website,"
which states that they are sorry that I don't want to continue to use
their software, and entreat me to download a file that will uninstall
these programs.
Of course, I don't download the "uninstall" programs.
I'm pretty sure that Home Search Assistant and Shopping Wizard are part
of the UNTOUCHABLE download trojan that I have on my computer.
I've tried all the things I seen on this group to delete this trojan,
but it just keeps keepin on...
Are spyware and virus writers smarter than 9 to 5 programmers?
Sometimes it would seem so.
Thanks.
