Home-Professional confusion

Hi all,

I recently received an Email with a Word attachment, and
when I went to open it, I got a message saying that I
needed to install a Chinese characters add-on to view it.
I opted to do this, only to be told that this add-on is
only available if you have Professional Edition of WinXP
(I only have Home edition). I didn't mind this too much.

Trouble is, now every time I open word, I get prompted to
insert XP Professional discs, followed by a series of
error messages (because I obviously can't do this) before
it finally opens.

Obviously the attempt to install the Chinese characters
has confused my computer, and it now thinks I should have
XP Pro, and gets angry because I don't have it. Is there
any way I can reverse this, and stop the computer from
looking for the non-existent XP Pro each time it starts up
Word?

So, you know someone who would have both the means and a reason to send you
email containing Chinese characters. That's why you opened the message,
right?
