My home page is hotmail but it keeps being replaced by a
different home page.I go into Internet Explorer and choose
options from the Tools menue to get my home page back.
This works for a while, but the rogue home page then
returns. How can I prevent this please.

Alan,
Is it an ISP homepage, or some other, darker, more questionable homepage
that's being reset
(probably after reboot)?
The former is just marketing and can be killed by deleting the ISP related
files in the folder
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Signup, and going to
start>run>msconfig>startup and unchecking any option whose name includes
'register' or 'signup'. Click 'apply' if you make changes.
The second type can be considerably more sneaky, and needs to be found and
correctly removed.
If you use a dial-up connection, make sure its your own ISP you're
connecting to also.
Hope this helps
