Sorry, I have no idea what you mean.

Who is "they"?

What page are you talking about? Where are you seeing tis? What was
the old one? What was the new one?

I know exactally what he is talking about. the MSN home page that you
personalize. ( my.msn.com) mine is gone too, replaced by a standard msn
page. I want my personalized one back because it has all my links and things
on it I use every day. when I hit my home button all I get is this standard
one. It has been coming and going for the past few days...sometimes it was
there some times not but now I has not come back in 2 days.

Then you (and him) need to contact MSN, find out what they've done,
and ask them for help. This is not a Windows XP issue, and I can't
help you with it.

I didn't realize you were just dealing with Windows XP issues. I have Vista
and IE 7 seems the posts are about MSN and home pages...isn't it all a part
of the same huge evil empire? Maybe your screen name should be grumpy. Well
if the issue is not going to be fixed then I hear Google has a nice home
page you can personalize to use . I guess I will start working on that
until my.msn.com gets my page back.

Thanks anyway,

L

No. There are a variety of different Microsoft newsgroups, and each
deals with a different software product, or in some cases with a
specific aspect of the particular software product. This particular
newsgroup in which you posted is called
microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_support.

If you post questions in the appropriate place, you are likely to find
people there who can help you. If you post them in the wrong place,
you are far less likely to find the help you need.

Maybe your screen name should be grumpy.

Why? Because I don't use MSN, don't know anything about MSN, and can't
help you with MSN issues.

Sorry, but I don't know everything. If you think that therefore makes
me grumpy, so be it.

Well
if the issue is not going to be fixed then

I didn't say the issue won't be fixed. I have no idea whether it will
be fixed, or even if there's anything to be fixed. As I said, I know
nothing about this, and that's why I suggested that you contact MSN
instead of asking here.

I hear Google has a nice home
page you can personalize to use . I guess I will start working on that
until my.msn.com gets my page back.

Your choice, obviously.

OK, thanks

Just to add to Kens reply, contrary to popular belief, this group is not for
general help and support of Windows XP, it is for assistance with XP's built
in Help & Support feature.

What you say is true. It was created for that purpose. However the
name was so poorly chosen that it is almost universally misunderstood.

As a result, for all practical purposes, today it has become a
newsgroup for general help and support of Windows XP, and its content
is almost indistinguishable from microsoft.public.windowsxp.general.

We don't need two windowsxp.general newsgroups, and I wish it weren't
so, but it is. So insisting that its use be restricted to its original
purpose is a waste of time, and that's why I didn't even mention it in
my reply below.

My my.msn page is gone too. I got this reply on 4/8/08
