I go to my desired home page.
In Tools>InternetOptions>General>Home Page I click Current, then Apply
and OK.
But when I click the Home icon, it goes to about:blank. Tools>Internet
Options also shows about:blank.

I am using IE6 with Win XP SP2 with all updates.

Any suggestions welcome.

I dont have help but a similar problem. My home page seems to be frozen in
Internet options. I cant change to my regular home page and the keys and URL
line are locked out.

Options in several third-party applications disallow such changes. These
include Ad-aware's Ad-Watch, Spybot Tea Timer, SpywareBlaster, SpySweeper,
Norton AntiVirus, McAfee VirusScan and/or Antispyware, and Zone Alarm (Free
and Pro).

Hi,
These and other third-party programs can lock the IE homepage. Examine the
settings of security/privacy/antispyware programs for a disable option.
Spybot> Tools> IE Tweaks
Ad-aware Pro
Norton AV 2006
Spyware Blaster
Spysweeper
Zone Alarm (free) 6.5
If Zone Alarm (free) is the guilty party, download the latest version. This
has been fixed.

Or, to get around any of these programs, startup in Safe Mode, change the
homepage, restart.

I have had the same problem with my son's computer. Some times it is a script
that keeps installing each time you start your computer. I had to clean out
the registry before I was able to get this to go away. It is really buried
into your comptuer. I was able to get most of it with Windows Defender and
then do a manual clean on the registry.
