I use Yahoo.com as my home page but recently something
has got into my PC (Windows XP) which is hijacking the
home page and substituting a different one. The new home
page has a title http//213.159.117.134.index.php and
despite me changing it back to yahoo.com it keeps
reverting to this page. It then directs me into a page
which advertises a product (E-Shredder) to get rid of
Spyware. It's obviously a scam because they look for your
credit card details to purchase this. Obviously I am not
going to purchase it. I have Adware Lavasoft and
Spyhunter on my PC which should be eliminating garbage
like this but they seem unable to do so.

Any ideas on how I can get rid of this??

Thanks

Jack

Hi

Try these programs to check for any spyware that may be on your system:

Ad-Aware - www.lavasoftusa.com
Spybot - http://www.safer-networking.org/
CWShredder - http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html

Try SpyWareBlaster to stop intrusions:

Did you update Ad-Aware? They just included a new ad-in. Check for
*Updates *and scan with Ad-aware again.
