HOME PAGE -- NEED HELP!

I clicked on a hyperlink from a friend's AIM profile,
www.realphx.com, and now it is set as my IE homepage. I
went into Control Panel, and changed it back to my
original homepage, but it CHANGED BACK. I deleted all
cookies, temp internet files, and history -- and it still
changes back.

1. DO ***NOT*** GO TO THAT WEBSITE [www.realphx.com]
2. What can I do to get control over my IE???

Hi Dave - First, you need to install the latest cumulative security patch
for IE which blocks the exploit that this worm uses:

IN I.E click on tools/internet options. at the home page
section in the ADDRESS: field type whatever you want your
home page to be. Or click on "use default" if you are
already at the page you want to be your home page. click
ok.
this will now be your new home page.

Upon execution, Trojan.Sinkin performs the following actions:
Drops the C:\Av.exe file.

Adds the value:

"Antivirus"="av.exe"

to the registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

so that the Trojan runs when you start Windows.

Changes the Internet Explorer search and start pages to realphx.com.
