Home page named Default

I don't know how it happened, but my home page is named Default. Should I
change it to index? Could this be why I'm having a devil of a time getting
the fonts changed in my theme?

Second question: I can't get the hit counter to reset. Again, could the name
of the home page be an issue?

When you Publish to your server, FP will "adjust" the name of the index page to what is required by the server. Possible names are: default.htm, default.html, index.htm, index.html. You should leave it that way it is to avoid having TWO home pages...one visible and one hidden :-)

Thanks Rob - I learned something.

Any idea why my hit counter won't reset? For some reason, it went back to 1
and I'm trying to reset it to what it was before.

Also, I've taken everyone's advice about the darn font in the them and
nothing works. So frustrating. I've saved as a new theme. I deleted old
theme. I did a complete publish. Nothing...

Depends on what the darn font is...I don't think Darn is a web-safe font :-))))

What's the URL?

The easiest way to fix the counter is to delete it on the local copy, publish the web without the counter, then add the counter back in on the local copy starting with the number you want and republish....or you can edit it live on the server.

No
Your home page file name should remain default.htm (required by your host)
http://www.barboconnor.com/default.htm

You are using a custom theme (applied as CSS)
but most of your page text has font tags
Html font tags rule over CSS fonts

Trust you are aware that non web safe fonts will not appear if the user does not have them
As in font face="Poor Richard"

Stefan and Rob: Many thanks for the help. No, I wasn't aware that some fonts
aren't "web safe" - such as Poor Richard. Does that mean the words just won't
show up at all?

In the theme, I was trying to use Bell MT. Guess I should just stick with
the old standbys, huh?

The words will show but in the users default browser fonts - not yours
