home page hijacking

I have several web sites in my home page drop down box
that I never typed in. How do I remove them?

content tab
autocomplete button
++++++++++++++++++++
clear these boxes.....as desired
[+] web addresses
[+] forms
[+] user names...
also press clear history button
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I took the steps below and my "default home page" in IE6
is still the wrong one. It's a web page I had never been
to until I was redirected to a search page that my browser
redirected me to.
Can anyone tell me the file this info is kept in so I can
change it to something else?
