Home page field in Internet Options in Control Panel gets reset

The home page url that I have entered in the Internet
Options screen in the control panel somehow gets reset to
a different url without me updating this field. How can I
stop this from happening? Thanks.

First eliminate any scumware.

The problem may be due to a spyware.

Download Ad-Aware from www.lavasoftusa.com, scan the system and eliminate
the malware products. Re-apply the above fix if necessary.
** Remember to update the pattern file using WebUpdate in Ad-Aware **
