After I change the home page, when I open IE it always reverts back to
msn.com, I cannot find the setting to stop this, please help.

Hi lmur :-)

You don't tell us the version of Windows you are using, but, try the
information below to see if it helps:

Go to http://www.fjsmjs.com/IE/homepage.htm
Scroll down to the section on registry keys

also..

Home page setting changes unexpectedly, or you cannot change your home page
settings:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;320159

If still no joy, then go to "Dealing with Unwanted Spyware and Parasites"
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm

Hope this helps.

Windows version?

What anti-malware applications are you using (e.g., SpywareBlaster, Spybot)?

Hi lmur :-)

Locked out of IE Options -

If you use Spybot S&D, open Spybot in Advanced mode and check the Immunize
settings. You may have placed this restriction inadvertently.

If not ... go to Dealing with Unwanted Spyware and Parasites:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
Scroll to "Various Registry Fixes" to find a REG file which should unlock
Internet
Options for you.

Hope this helps.

I've done that, I change hompe page at Internet Options, click apply, close
window, reopen and it reverts to msn.com. Evertime I open IE it wants to
know my country, language and to choose msn.com as home page or keep
existing, I choose keep existing and I still get msn.com. When I open IE, I
get the following - http://runonce.msn.com/en/runonce.asp - every time.
Please help, thanks.

Disable Ad-aware's Ad-watch, make the change, then re-enable it.
(SpySweeper may have a similar block on homepage changes but I don't use it
so...)

thank you, it worked!

fixed my problem. Thanks!!

Ah ok...because I did not see anything listed for IE 7 but I will go to the
general page like you said. Also I forgot to mention this happened after
some updates from Microsoft today!!! But I will repost in the other group
