can anyone help,
my home page changes all the time to hotsearchbar.com even though i change it back in the ie properties!!

You've got a bad case of spyware! Follow one of the applications here:

Once you run an anti-spyware program, it will remove the little nasties that are hiding in your system. I suggest reading that first article so you can prevent them in the first place

Pretty much what everyone else said... it's probably just spyware you can get rid of with any removal tool.

If your using IE, make sure you have a popup blocker (google toolbar works fine for me). If you still are having problems with spyware after that, I suggest switching to Mozilla Firefox.
