If you have not tried this already, go to the page that you want as the
home page. Open Internet Options and on the General page, click the "Use
Current" button. If you prefer "Default" or "Blank," click one of those
instead. Is this procedure of setting a home page not working for you?

Internet Explorer\tools\Internet options\general\home
page it is set here.If you get the free download of
Spybot s&d from download.com you can configure it so your
home page cant be changed from within IE

MSN is getting too obtrusive and too tight to use for human beings........regarding XP......Linnex deserves looking into ....
Microsoft is getting too big for it's britches when they leave their users out in the wilderness like this to figure out technical
problems that should have been solved before kicking their product out the doorand into the mainstream marketplace disillusioning their customer base/constituents in the bargain. They should be ashamed of themselves. Sorry I can't help you....I'm out in the wilderness with diseased Microsoft OS as well ...god bless you and I pray for you brother...to get a little reality check ..try returning the software to get your money back from where you purchased it...they've got a pretty good racket going...no wonder he's rich [ Bill Gates] ...he's a thief.

Update your skills instead of rambling here... Linux and Windows are complex
systems in their own right.
