I have a W2000 desktop which has a USB Broadband connection.
I also have a laptop running XP for my daughter running over a wireless LAN.
I have set her up as a User with Administrator rights on the Desktop so that
when she logs on with her
username on the laptop, the drives on the Desktop are visible and can be
shared.
The problem is I cannot get her Internet Access to work on the laptop.
On the desktop Internet ADSL service I have Enable Internet Connection
Sharing set to yes.
What mystifies me is that when I sign on in my name on the laptop, I have
internet access without a problem.
When she logs on to the laptop we cannot get Internet Access.
I also tried logging on to the desktop with her ID but the laptop would
still not give Internet access in her ID.
At one stage I thought it might be a Firewall problem as I have Zone Alarm
running. Disabling it did not stop the problem.
Any ideas, please ?
Thanks, Alan
