Hi I am running 2 computers with WinXPPro on them both hooked to a Belkin
dsl/router hooked to my NetDSl800 router on MSN. They both where able to
connect with each other, print from 1 printer and transfer files, etc. They
both connect to the internet by ok and since i added Windows Spyware and both
upgraded the SP2, I cannot connect to each other. Oh I also have been running
McAfee for ever with no problems at all. I too love the sevice pack but
wondering what i can do or do I need remove to get my home network back
working again.
Thanks

Is the Windows XP Firewall active on these computers? Try shutting it
off and see if that resolves the problems.

Good luck

Hi Ron, no it did not help. I turned off both firewalls and it did not help.
I went to the CMD screen and have pinged the IP addresses to both computers
and it responded but when I pinged the computer names, it worked on only 1.

Try posting this question to microsoft.public.windowsxp.network_web as
that is where the networking experts tend to hang out. You have a
better chance of getting this sorted out there.

Good luck
