Home networking - strange problem

Hi all,

I set up a home network between 2 pcs running windows 2000
professional. I've assigned static ips ,i.e, 192.168.0.1
and 192.168.0.2 respectively. The main or host pc has a
DSL Connection - speed stream 4060 external modem. ICS is
enabled and all works fine except the fact that on the 2nd
pc or client pc, whenever i download a large file, the pc
with the dsl connection automatically crashes and reboots.

I'd be grateful if you folks could help me out please.

are you sure there is enough hard drive space on the main pc?

I checked the hard disk space - iz a 40 gb hard disk on
the main pc as well as on the 2nd pc....

DSL/cable router is the answer, they are too inexpensive to not use.
