Hello. I am running a small wired home network of 3
computers. My main computer is running winXP, my wifes
laptop is win Xp and my sons is win98 2ed.My problem is
that both I and my wife can see the internet but my sons
win98 refuses to connect to the internet. I have used the
network setup disk created by the host comp. and enabled
ICS on the host. I have tried all methods to try and
connect the win98 client to the internet but to no
avail, from win98 client I can see all computers on the
net and also am able to transfer files and print to the
printer on host. Can anyone help please?.
Thank you David.

98 is a pretty hard os to network to XP

Under the network in control panel in 98
You go into the DNS part. And point it to
192.168.0.1 (the main computer with ICS).

and give it the subnet of 255.255.255.0

I used to have 98 se but use XP now, which is
heaps easier to configure than previous versions
of Windows.
