Running Home network; 2 PC's running Vista Home Prem; 1 PC running XP. When
I open a Vista PC...Network mapping displays the XP PC. When I click on it a
Window opens requesting ID and Password. I have never set an ID or Password
in the XP PC. I tried using the network ID and Password, it didn't work. I
experienced this same issue with the Vista PC until I noticed I had to set
Password Protected in the Vista Network & Sharing Center to OFF. However XP
doesn't have a Network & Sharing center....or at least I couldn't find it.

How do I turn off Password Protected in the XP PC?

Add a password to the User account on the XP machine. That's all you need to
do....
