I am trying to setup a simple home network between two
computers. One is operating XP Professional and the other
is on Windows 98 2nd. Edition. Both computers are
connected to a hub so they have independent access to the
Internet.
I tried using the Network Wizard that came with XP Pro. I
create the newtowrk disk and when I try to use it in the
Windows 98 machine it states that it cannot find the
newwork card.
Has anyone ever tried to connect two computer operating
on diferent Windows.

Thenks,
Rudy

The Wizard's failure to find the network card is probably due to a bug
in the network card's driver program. Downloading and installing the
latest Windows 98 driver for the network card might help.

However, it isn't necessary to run the Wizard. You can make the
network settings manually.
