I have a Windows XP home network that I set up using a
router. I have tried to add my laptop that runs Windows
2000. I can access the internet but I am unable to add
the computer to the network, or find the other computers
through the laptop. Is there something special in
Windows 2000 that I need to activate or run to get the
laptop on the network and to share files??

.
You have to alter the laptop settings on file sharing to
communicate with Win 2K
Folder Options
View Tab
Untick "Use Simple File Sharing"
