I have a home network with a win98 computer and a
win2000 pro computer. When I try to go from the win98 to
the win2000 I get a message "You must supply a password to
make this connection. Resorce \\computer name\IPC$"

According to the knowllege base this is because my
win2000 computer does not have the Net Logon Service
started, but if I try to start this service I get an error
code 3095. It says that the service didn't start because I
am not on a domain and doesn't need to.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Create a user account on both computers with identical username/password.
Log into the win98 computer using this account.
