Can anyone advise please. i have a Home network connected
to Internet through a BT 1800 Gateway. All three PC's
connect to the Internet with no problems. I can
File/Printshare between a W98SE laptop and XP SP2 PC but
my W2000 Prof laptop won't connect although it can ping
the XP PC. Any help much appreciated. Mike

If it can "ping" then it is connecting,...so you will have define "won't
connect" in your context and what errors your get when you attempt.

I have the same situation. Wsk pings XP Pro but the other
way round it times out. Any suggestion.

I also have the sinilar problem.
I have connected the 2 PC through a hub. One PC is using winXP and the other
PC is using win2000 professional. XP can get the shared folder from 2000 and
it can ping to the other computer. But 2000 can not ping to XP. Also, I can
see the other computer(XP) from "net view" but I can't get in the computer.
How can I solve this problem?
