I am attempting to create a home network using a ProLink
Pro-9908 Broadband router and a broadband connection. I
have Windows XP on one computer and ME on the other. I
connected the broadband cable to the router along with RJ-
45 cables from the router to both computers. Then I ran
the XP network wizard and nothing works. I can't see any
other computer or the internet. It would seem I need to
configure the router, but can't figure out how. Any ideas
on how to set up the network?

You can use firewalls on local computers behind router. I have that kind of
configuration anyway.

When you wan to access other local computers, remeber these:
- same userid/password should be availabe on each computer for easy access
- each firewall must be configured to allow connections from other local
computers
- you might need to enable netbios over tcp/ip on local computers, but do
that only if your router can block netbios traffic from internet. Otherwise
there is security risk and most likely you get unwanted popup
advertisements.
