I just added a 5th. computer to my home network, it's a
desktop with the with WINXP. I have a Canon i850 connected
to a win98se desktop. The 3 other computers on the network
have win 98 and winME installed, they connect and print to
the printer just fine. I can print a test page to the
printer from the new XP machine but when I try to open
MSWord it takes 5mins to open and 5 mins. to print a
document of just one page. When I turn off the computer
that has the printer attached to it and go back to the new
XP machine Word opens normally. Any ideas of what to check?

Thanks Richie

richie sorry to be the one to inform you but canon
printers don't work when connected to a network

it's not canon faults, it's Microsoft, the drivers just
aren't written to support canon printers.
