Home Network Printing

I have an HP 1100 connected to my desktop (running XP). I have a new Dell
laptop (running Vista) and a wireless network. I've shared the printer and
added it to my laptop. When I try to print I see the document on the printer
window on the desktop, but it shows an error. Printing from the desktop
works. Any ideas out there?

It would be helpful if you told us the error message you are receiving but
here's something to work though:

There is no error message. In the printer window on the desktop it shows
"error" under the status for the print job. On the laptop it shows "spooling"
and then disappears - as expected.

Update -

Tonight the printer window on the server shows the print job from the laptop
briefly and then disappears. I can print from the server. HELP!

Are there any print specific system eventlog entries on the server?
