I set up a home network with one PC, one laptop and a Netgear wrg614v4
wireless router. I want to share my internet connection and the resources on
both devices along with my printer connected to my PC. My PC is wired to the
router with an ethernet card and my laptop uses a wireless network card. I
can access the internet from both devices. I can not access either computer
form each other. I also can not see my printer from my laptop. I would
appreciate any assistance anyone can give to get this working as a true home
network. please feel free to ask any questions you need to. Thanks.

I set up a home network very similar to what you're describing, using a
Netgear WRG624v2. W98SE on the desktop PC, WinXP Home on the laptop. I can
share the files in folders that I have set up for sharing, either read-only
or read-write, depending on the password I enter, and I can share my
printer, because I set it up for sharing. First step: you have to define
both computers in the same workgroup.

Here are some sites that give hints on what to do:

You may be better off doing your own research; I also used magazine
articles, and I think I got ideas from some other websites that I didn't
bookmark. A Google search for something like "home network" should get you
started. Or there may be a FAQ for this group; I'm new here.
