Home network access

I have two computers one running XP proffessional and the other XP home. When I try to access the professional from the home PC it tells me I dont have permissions. As far as I am aware I have not set up security passwords to access the Professional computer and so do not understands why I cannot share these files. I can see both computers on the network and can access from the pro to home but not the other way. Please help as I have files that need to be shared between these computers for my work
 
Is the firewall disabled on the xp pro machine?
