I bought a new HP PC running XP Pro. It's named HP and it's defined to
WORKGROUP.

It's connected to my Linksys Router via a Linksys Wireless Card.

I can get to other PC's on the network from the HP but I cannot access the
new box from any of the other PC's.

I get prompted for a Network Password and I enter HP\username and the
password but it will not accept it... I get a message saying that the userid
or password is invalid.

Any ideas on what I may have missed? Could it be a related to the fact that
it's connected wireless?

Make sure you have an identical account and password on both machines
then run the network wiz.

On the WinXP PCs, create local user account(s), with non-blank
password(s), that have the desired access privileges to the desired
shares. Log on to the other PCs using those account(s), and you will be
able to access the designated shares, provided your network is
configured properly. Also, make sure that WinXP's built-in firewall is
disabled on the internal LAN connection.

Usually, WinXP's Networking Wizard makes it simple and painless --
almost entirely automatic, in fact. There's a lot of useful,
easy-to-follow information in WinXP's Help & Support files, and here:
