Hi

I have 3 computers that I want to connect together in my home network.
Computer 1 has Windows XP Pro installed, computer 2 Windows XP Home and
computer 3 Windows 2000 Pro.

What I want to do is install 2 network cards in the Home computer use
Network Bridge so that computer 1 will see computer 3.

I have 2 questions, does Home allow network Bridging? I have Internet
connection sharing between computer 1 and 3, 1 being the computer that dials
out, will computer 3 still be able to use the connection on computer 1?

Many thanks

Both XP Home and XP Pro allow network bridging. I've written a web
page with details:

XP ICS - Network Bridge

Your plan will work, but it requires both 1 and 2 to be running when 3
wants Internet access. I think that it would be better to have just 1
network card in each computer and connect all 3 of them to an
inexpensive network hub or switch, which would eliminate the need for
a network bridge.

Hi

Thanks for the info. All 3 computers are always on, so the 2 network cards
is the cheapest solution at the moment.

Depending on the usability of the network and switch or hub might be
installed at a later stage.

many thanks
