Home movies wont play on xbox

I've made a number of sample home movies in an effort to figure out the best
format to use for playing the DVD home movie on my Xbox, however, no matter
what I do, the Xbox doesn't recognize the DVD. I'm using +R DVDs and WinXP
sp1. Any ideas?
