Home edition and netword

Hi,

I have XP home edition on my new laptop, the structure of
our network at office is domain, can I add my laptop to
the network, as I know home edition allows only
Workgroup, no domain accpeted???????????

You can't join the domain, but you can access
shared folders etc by supplying a domain username
and password when you try to connect.

Provide the username in the form:
domain-name\username
along with the password.

This will become tiresome, I'd imagine.
 
Windows XP Home Edition lacks the advanced networking requirements
necessary to join a domain. You'll need to upgrade to Windows XP Professional
in order to have the capability to join a domain.
