I have Windows XP professional workstation, in AD domain on Windows 2000 Server. I have added, connect s: to //cnb-00/users/test to the test users profile as well as a logon script, it creates directory, The directory has full rights for all users and test user, I log on at the workstation, and whalah, no S: drive. The logon script works, but no Home Directory.

Anybody seen this before?

Your slashes are going the wrong way in the path you listed below. It
should be \\cnb-00\users\test.

You could also troubleshoot by adding "pause" to the login
script after the drive mapping to see what error you are
getting.

I have checked the \\'s and found them correct on the server I must have mistyped them in the post, and I have tried a test user with no logon script and only a home directory and have no success.

When you say that it works are you saying the it maps the drive if you run
it manually or do you mean that it does run at logon? Are you specifying
the logon script in the user properties or is it in a group policy? Check
the application log for errors. You should also try the pause suggestion
that someone mentioned earlier.

Thanks alot for your timely responses

I have tried a user called test3 recently with only the home folder option selected. No Logon script, no group policies. The logon script works with other uses if I try it ao I do not have a proble with that part of it. I only have a problem with this mapping of the home folder in the users profile.

So, to clarify, the logon script works fine, but the home folder does not work with or without the logon script running.

Thanks
