Hi,

Just started using Vista Ultimate and have found that Hold Em has flashing
text. My system is Nvidia 8800GTS with the latest 'official' beta (released
today) from Nvidia. has anyone else encountered this problem? There doesn't
seem to be any relevant setting in the settings of the game which allow me to
control this.

I wonder if this a DirectX10 specific issue, or if other users are
experiencing it too.

All the grpahics appear as normal, it's just the text on the buttons and on
the players that constantly blink on and off, making the game unplayble :(

This is a problem with nVidia's display drivers.

Thanks, shame that there is no fix available - is this likely to be a driver
issue that affects other areas of Vista, or is it purely for this game? Is
this specific to Nvidia 88xx series cards too?

NVIDIA's drivers have been lacking in the Vista department. Although
they said they would have them fixed by the release date, it seems that
some are still having issues with the newly released drivers.

Hopefully, they can come out with a fix fairly soon.

So true. Looking at the really long list of issues in the release notes
which includes very basic things as well doesn't bode well for hopes of
having a
functional build anytime soon......

Seeing the same with my 7600 and the latest drivers

nVidia aren't making any friends here.

My next card will be ATI if nVidia doesn't get off their ass. How stupid
can they get?

I do like the Ubisoft series of flight sims, the latest and greatest being
Sturmovik 1946. Only nVidia allow me to see all great effects under OpenGL
and other enhancements the ATI cards do not provide on that specific
simulation. That's the reason I moved from ATI to nVidia. Right now my
experience is great under Vista Ultimate 64-bit and GeForce 8800 GTS. OK,
sometimes the image glitches, but the driver is a beta. That happens on
Flight Sim X. Not so much of a trouble, though. I can wait. After all,
they're just games...

This is corrected with the 100.59 drivers

I'm running a 8800gtx with the 100.59 drivers and still have
the flashing text issue in holdem. Also, do you know how to
fix the refresh rate problem in Vista. I see it's still carried
over from XP.

Actually, the latest Hold 'Em release (the 26th or so) Still has the text
flashing glitch with an 8800gtx and vista ultimate 64bit and driver 100.65

Yep, I just downloaded the 'new' version of Hold 'Em (wouldn't it be nice if
Microsoft added a list of changes with the download?) thinking it would now
work with my 8800GTS and the latest Nvidia drivers - alas, it's exactly the
same as before with the flashing text.

What exactly was different about the Feb 27th release to the January one
? Can anyone who has it working let us know?!
